Hello, voter! Below, find everything you need to know to make your voice heard — including how to register, update your registration, get a mail ballot, vote early, and vote on Election Day.
Registering to vote: The deadline to update your registration is October 13, 2020. You can do that on the homepage or at the Kansas Secretary of State’s website. (Don’t have a Kansas ID? Instead of registering online, you’ll need to fill out a paper registration form.)
How to vote by mail: To vote by mail, contact your county election officer and request an advance ballot application by October 27. The advance ballot application (PDF) has the address for your county election officer on the back.
Your completed mail ballot must be postmarked by Election Day (November 3) and received by November 6. You can also deliver it in person on Election Day. Many more voters are expected to use mail ballots this year, so make sure you leave plenty of time to request and return your ballot!
Other options to vote: You can vote early (Advance Voting) from October 14 to November 2, or on Election Day, November 3. For your polling place information, contact your county election officer. Be sure to bring your ID!
